Experian credit score questions

Hey

I just did a credit report on experian - it came up as fair 844

I know fair is not great - how can I improve it? and I worry that it did not ask for my maiden name although linked address from that time period...? I could not find anywhere to add it in either.
does this mean the report is accurate or not?

Thanks

Dont get too hung up on the number as none of the lender even see it. What matters most is whats on teh report eg late payments, CCJ's etc.

You need to look at what is actually on your detailed report, not the score. It is the raw data that any potential lender will assess, they will never see that score.

What credit accounts do you have showing on your file? are they all accurate? are all payments showing as being paid on time?
Are you showing as being on the electoral roll at your current address?
Do you have any financial associates showing on your file? and if so are they correct?

Do you have any credit accounts that are still only in your maiden name? and if so do they show on the credit report?

nothing came up which is good - I have had a few late payments but settled quickly - like within two weeks of being aware and never had a ccj so glad nothing surprising popped up

    Thanks

I have debt and am trying to clear it so hopefully once all done the score will improve
