Is there anywhere I can register a domain free without having to sign up for anything else like hosting?

I know http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html
"Dot TK is a FREE domain registry for all websites on the Internet. It has exactly the same power as other domain extensions, but it's free! Because it's free, millions of others are using .TK domains since 2001, which makes .TK powerful and very recognizable."
Edit: if your using the web address for a business etc i'd recommend getting a domain related to your business i.e. if your based in uk get a .co.uk etc (the url I gave above is for a https://www.domain.TKNo person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow. :kisses2:0 -
Sorry, too me any dot tk domain looks like an East Europe dodgy site thats likely to rob you.I know this probably isnt the case normally, but I bet a lot of potential visitors would think that too.
Id stick to dot com, org, co.uk or info for domains.Google loves dot coms btw.
www.1and1.co.uk will do you a dot co.uk for under a fiver for 2 years.
www.registerfly.com have sales on occasionaly, (register for emails when), I picked up half a dozen dot info domains at 49c (30p at the time) each (1st year)
What ever you do, DO NOT buy domain and hosting together, it causes so much hassle trying to seperate them later.
Ultimately I suppose it all depends what the domain is for.
If its a business ? and if you arent willing to invest a fiver on a dot co.uk or a tenner on a dot com, then it probably will bomb anyway. What you put in you get out.
If its just for fun, then one of the free webhosts or your IP with a sub domain will do IMO0 -
the .TK domains are fine, but I do agree with you if it's a serious business and your not willing to invest it's not looking good alreadyNo person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow. :kisses2:0

They may be fine in reality, but up until I read this thread, I would have thought dot TK stood for takanistan or tuskarayia or somwhere far away. Would you trust it if you didnt know better ?0 -
I understand what your saying... but then you could say that about anything really... I used dot.tk years ago when it first came out...
Anyone that did a bit of reading up on the .tk domain would be able to find out where it's from etc...
This is kinda pointless anyway, Nomini I like others would still recommend paying for the domainNo person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow. :kisses2:0 -
According to their ad. http://order.1and1.co.uk have domain names from £1.99
Might be worth a look.0 -

I just bought a .co.uk domain from them and you have to buy for 2 years min and there is VAT, so it is £4.68 for two years. This price also applies to .org.uk and .me.uk

I've got a dozen or so domains with 123-reg.co.uk, they are amongst the best priced (about £2.50 per year) and allow full access to your domains with no hidden extras.0
