George Forman should be fine. You can do bacon butties in the morning and have sausages, burgers etc in the evening. It just means you will have to rely on salads to go with grilled meat in the evening but you can vary it with shop bought potato salad and coleslaw etc. also take some packets of flavoured couscous as you just need to boil up the kettle and make up in a bowl. Also buy rolls and crusty bread. Some sites have a takeaway van that calls so you can get some chips.
It is a holiday after all and you don't want to be cooking all the time but you can eat cheaply too.
Take some homemade cakes and other fillers as the fresh air makes you hungry. If you haven't got a fridge then don't take chocolate covered biscuits as they will melt in the tent.
Use a cool bag with ice blocks( the camp site should be able to re freeze them for a small fee) or take milk or drinks you have frozen before you go away and don't need straight away. You can then use them once they have defrosted.

Pierce the potatoes all over, douse with oil , wrap in tin foil and put enough in to cover the base of the slow cooker. Depending on the wattage should be ready in 6-8 hours. (on a low setting)For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.

serve with pesto if you have it or make a "sauce" out of half a packet of mushrrom instant soup. Or heat up pasta sauce in the GF?
Instant soups (some supermarket veggie ones are anly about 10p per pack)
Mix dried milk and instant whip together, add water. Great bulked out with banana.
readybrek and milk powder, with water for brekkie.
Fry bacon at home (keeps better cooked) and re-heat frazzle a bit more at the site.
Make a casserole at home, transport and heat on site. Eat with bread and salad.
Make Frittata/spanish omelette at home transport and make into wedges for lunch.
Boil some potaotes at home, chiunk them and add mayo for a potato salad, add pre-cooked sausages or hotdogs.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
You can boil eggs in a kettle - prop open the lid to stop it clicking off. It adds to the limescale, so descale it with cheap vinegar when you get home and don't do it regularly. You can also use it to warm up things like tinned veg, hot dogs etc - take some ziplock bags and float them in the water - worth getting the decent, branded ones so they dont' leak.
We used to make toasted sandwiches with an iron and foil at uni - you could probably use the GF for that. Toasties with cuppa soups are a reasonable meal.
I don't have a slow cooker but it sounds like a plan to take one if you already have it and know how to use it. Also, make and freeze one or two meals to re-heat in it before you go. Use them up fairly quickly once defrosted unless you have access to a fridge. It's good to have something really easy for the first meal while you are settling in - hot dogs or similar that just need slight heating and assembling.
Value custard is easy and versatile - made with just boiling water it can turn some slightly stale cake or a banana that's on the turn into a hot, filling pudding.
Research what shops are nearby - hopefully you can shop for salad & fresh stuff while you are there and not worry about keeping it fresh.
If you are not going to eat as much veg, take fruit and do fruit salad (with cereal or yoghurt) for brekkie to avoid getting 'bunged up'. Don't need lots of different fruits, apples, oranges, bananas and maybe a pineapple make a decent salad. Add any other fruits you like to ring the changes.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -
When I moved into my flat at first the cooker was not connected so ate meals daily with a george foreman (well ours was called something else but same idea, it had flat and ridged plates) & kettle. Things like fahijtas chicken or beef with veg & toasted wraps, pannis, toasties, chicken & veg kebabs with cous cous ( using hot water from kettle), instant noodles with beef done on GF, burgers, sausages with instant mash and grilled veg, fry ups( well grill ups), omlettes. The list goes on. I dont think you'd be limited at all. Have a good time.0
