As a concept it seems like a good idea, in practice drivers only !!!!!foot around horses because they're big and horses also have this upper class image.

Two things that matter most on the roads are size and apparent social class.

Ugh, that campaign grinds my gears like nobody's business. Stupid, uninformed (have you seen the bus ads? They would be confusing and flat-out dangerous for a novice cyclist, see http://beyondthekerb.wordpress.com/2013/08/10/the-back-end-of-a-bus/ ) and I despise the way they take that infantile, jokey tone about behaviours that, you know, kill people from massive crush injuries.

Why? Because most people are just stupid and lack common sense, regardless of their mode of transport.

Unfortunately it's like most things, they tune it for idiots and the non-idiots find holes and take offence.
What can ye do?

Far better money spent on signs that explain "road tax".

I would say from experience I would trust a LB driver more than any other bus driver in the city
although i would not fully trust them
