I have reserved and picked up on of these from a local store...

Less than half price reserved at store, BEWARE came up on the till at full price of £89.99 but take your reservation print and get them to check.. its £37.48 (currently reduced to £80 in Argos)
Its a mini circular saw, cuts up to 22mm deep, has a laser cutting guide, LED light and 3 blades including a diamond one for ceramics and hard materials. Comes in a sturdy box with all its bits.
A lot of trades use these for cutting laminate flooring, can be depth set to just cut through the tongue of tongue and groove floorboards without reaching any pipes or cables below the boards, makes lifting floorboards safer and easy. Electricians and plumbers may love one of these.
Can also be used for all kinds of general cutting and a lot less scary than a big full size circular saw. Reviews on Argos are pretty good. I have several Worx tools and find them well made and durable. This is a really good price for one of these sort of tools ,especially a fairly decent one like this.
Spare blades for this can be a bit tricky to find but you can get on Amazon and a few other places at about £12 so not unreasonable.
+++ Don't forget your Nectar card for Homebase too! +++
(Also comes with the blade only done up loosely ready for you to change, so change or tighten it before use!)

Remember when cutting floorboards to make sure the socket is RCD protected. If working on upper floors, remove the lighting circuit fuse.
There ought to be a building reg that tongue and groove floorboards can only be screwed, not nailed!0 -
Saw this and showed it to DH, I don't think I have ever seen him move so fast! He ordered it at 6.03pm and was straight out the door at 7.38pm when he got the text saying he could collect.
He is like a kid in a candy store, don't think he can be left unattended for a while :rotfl:0 -

Agreed and I also think they should be made to create access panels wherever there is a significant junction. I hate chipboard.
This is a bargain as I have bought a similar one from Lidl earlier this year as the Worx one never seemed to be on offer!

My husband just went to buy one, and sadly the price has gone up to £67.48.
I'd only shown him this on the website at the lower price about an hour before he visited the store, but the price has now gone up.0 -
Funny how it went from £37.48 to £67.48? I suspect this was a misprice error but just for once.. I actually got one!
Sorry for anyone disappointed. Better luck next timeEuropean for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0
