Hi All,
I'm on a temporary contract, however I've been offered a permanent role with another firm and all T&C's are to my satisfaction. Today I received my signed contract from the new company via the post - is now the right time to hand in my notice with the company I currently work for or is there anything else I need to check?
Thanks

If it is a signed contract, when does it say your start date is? Was it issued after they had carried out all referencing?
What amount of notice do you need to give re your current temporary contract?
Work back from your start date to give the correct amount of notice.
Example:
Start date: Monday, 2 September
Notice length: 1 week
Notice date: Friday, 23 August (that's assuming you don't work at the weekend)0 -
It was sent out to me after my second interview and upon me agreeing the salary T&C's.
The start date is 27th August.0 -
If you have 1 weeks notice, then give it in a week before?0
-
Just handed in my notice, my exit date is this Friday - never nice handing in your notice especially when you like your colleagues and job.0

Enjoy your week's holiday - or perhaps it will be just preparing for the new job.0 -
