Lilian - I'm glad you said that, as it proves I'm not losing my marbles, lol! I typed my post, it uploaded, I SAW IT, with my own eyes, then next time I looked, all but 2 lines or so had completely vanished! Weird or what?!
f x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
Oh, one more quick thing......I filed all the cheap birthday cards I bought last week into my birthday book, meaning that I got a good look at them again. They were from Card Factory, a shop I hadn't been in before, & were priced at 10 for £1. There was a good choice, I've picked designs that are suitable for male & female friends & family, plus children. Just flagging the offer up in case anyone else could do with a stash of uber cheap cards.2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.

Hi all,
After totting up my personal spends this month, and with the looming spectre of a pay cut and increased living costs coming my way, I need to get back to the small things!
So, today I have...
Driven economically to work-have £34 left in my petrol fund, half a tank, and another 6 40 mile round trips to work before payday, fingers crossed!
Breakfast and snacks from stores, and hot drinks using up old tea bags.
Bought lunch though
total spend £4
Posted test items
Update spreadsheet with weekend spends
Try and teach myself crochet again to stop me shopping online!
Write list of house stuff I need to buy before my move
Early night!
Hope you've all had lovely Mondays!

First day back at school after 6 1/2 week holiday. Had hoped for another NSD but just spent £4.80 on a (budget) takeaway to cheer myself up.
Have taken the £4.80 from my entertainment budget to make it more MSE but sort of kicking myself despite the little boost it has given my mood!Debt now £48,000 in the form of a mortgage

Hello all!
Popping on a little late today but thought I would still as it's nice to post to keep an eye on myself!!
Today's little MSE/DFW things are as follows;
:cool:Meals from stores-homemade lunch taken to work.
:cool:Avoided the tempting aircon in the car.
:cool:Making the most of the online movie subscription.
:cool:Had a low spend day-aiming for a NSD tomorrow!
:cool:Searching for a job closer to work to save on travelling costs.
Not too much today but I'm trying.
