Advice Required On My Debts...

Hi folks,

new to the forums so should probably start off with a hello to you all :)

Anyways Ive had debt issues for a few years now and am looking for some advice/feedback on my current situation.

I currently have 3 different repayment plans in place with the following creditors, the details are:

Lowell Portfolio I - MBNA Credit Card
Balance when passed to Lowell was £3232.98
The outstanding balance today after 2 and a bit years of payment plan is £1387.98 - Meaning I have paid £1,845 to the debt (58% approx)

Blair, Oliver & Scott - HBOS Credit Card
Balance when passed to BO&S £2709.80
The outstanding balance today after 2 and a bit years of payment plan is £806.80 - Meaning I have paid £1903.00 to the debt (71% approx)

Lowell Portfolio I - Vodafone
Balance when passed to Lowell £580.41
The outstanding balance today after 1 and a bit year payment plan is £370.41 - Meaning I have paid £210.00 to the debt (34% approx)

So the question I have is this, I am now in a position to look realistically at making F&F settlement offers to the 3 creditors and basically wondering what you would advise in terms of offers etc.

Sorry if this is a bit long winded for a first post lol.

Cheers,

James.

    Hi James

Maybe start at 30% with all of them.

I doubt HBOS will give you better than 75% with an in-house collector and short repayment time but there should be more leeway for a deal with Lowell if they have bought the two other ones.
  • Hi James if any of them accept a FF make sure they do it in writing
you may get away with 30% but probably end up around 50%
but well done you for paying off what you have
  • Congrats on paying off such a good amount and good luck with the F&F. If you don't ask you don't get!
Debt now £48,000 in the form of a mortgage :o
