Why can't I post thread or PM?

MSE is blocking me. I've tried to reply to a PM from another poster, but my message was blocked. I then tried to post a thread on here, and it blocked me from posting it.
As far as I am aware, I am not breaking any forum rules - no criticism, swearing or offensive language, nastiness, name calling, eetc.
So why can't I post?
ETA, but of course, it let me post this! The only thing I can think of is that my PM and previous (blocked) thread mentioned clothing worn worn by women close to the skin, beginning with K and B. Now, if you are wondering, I was telling this particular poster about my son's current obsession with Christmas, and how he has decided to write a list for everyone he knows. All of the women on his list should recive these items, according to him, along with suncream, handcream and a book. (for those who don't know, he has a learning disability and isn't generally obsessed with the clothing issue, but is obsessed with Christmas - he just adds everything to his lists). I was chuckling at his spelling of one of the words, which he spelt as 'kickness'.
Surely the filters aren't blocking the words beginning with K and B? I've seen worse than that on here before!

Has it got smilies in? I had this problem earlier, but it allowed me to post once I'd removed the cheery little faces!0

This post has gone through okay. What message is it giving you?0

Umm you've just started a thread? I know you need to leave a certain time between posts. What error message comes up?0

I know exactly what you mean, have had the same thing. Wrote a few replys tonight only to be blocked think its just a server error. (Works the second time btu means having to retype it all!!)People don't know what they want until you show them.0

I've been getting a blocked message when editing posts earlier today. I reported it but have had no responses yet. Gremlins in the matrix?0

Lots of people have been mentioning this on various boards today0

I've edited my first post to explain. Yes, they did have smilies in, which I have left out of the edit. I just posted in sheer frustration, leaving out the words that I thought might be filtered, in the hope that it would post. I thought it was my computer having a hissy fit (imagine a smiley here!) I didn't think about the smilies, and I haven't been online much today so I didn't see other posts about this.
Thanks everyone (imagine another smiley)0 -
I have had the same problem this weekend. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0
