I was trying to find something here on MSE comp forums earlier and only found it after searching, as not easily found (no smilies as forum not allowing atm). I was thinking how difficult it must be for new members to find their way around with everything all over the place, and thought to myself "wouldn't it be great if there was just one sticky on the front page with links to all relevant threads i.e.
Daily
Weeky
OnceOnly/Early Entry
IWIWIW
Postals
Puzzler/TAB
Magazine Dailies
Compers Chat Corner
Forum Help
with the relevant threads linked to the name of what it is (similar to what we do in Magazine Dailies, so one click and you're in the right place)".
I normally keep my opinions to myself as we all comp differently, but what do you think?

As a newbie I think this would be a brilliant idea, the forum can be confusing for new members and I wouldn't know how to get to several of those pages

I suggested that years ago for the puzzler/tab monthly/magazine weeklies & was knocked down in flames

but, saying that, since we got the CCC lots of things have been improving & site feedback listen to us,
thought it was a great idea & still do
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.

Fab idea Cornish, I'd use it too. Everything's in one place

I like the idea too keeps everything nice and tidy. I don't personally enter twitter, Facebook, raffle-copter , e mail comps and i know they have their own slot in the dailies (i think that's where they are) but if i venture into that section it is very confusing. They layout is ok and is not confusing in that way but, on the once only ones such as Halfords comp, blacks comp , home sense comp in that listing I have read all posts for these and they seemed to have finished months ago and people have posted this but they are still there, some comps posted 2/3 years ago are still valid in the listing, but are we signing up just for a newsletter and no prize? All in all i am managing to comp fairly productively but maybe as you suggest those links might be an idea.:)0

Don't think it would change any of that, it would mostly be linking to existing stickies (or sub-boards).0 -
Fab idea, thumbs up and backflips smilies from me.0
