Royalty Line cookware

Was looking at one of the cookware and it was looking very durable. http://www.royaltyline.com/

  • if you mean the colour cange ones...in order to change colour the material must be thermochromic - this year shows the first development of non toxic thermochromic materials

    I suspect these pans are not made of this - as the design is older
    if the others or both I would point out that ceramic is prone to chipping -
    if the colour change one does chip bits of toxic material will end up in your food
    and the aluminium will be exposed
    uncoated aluminium is no longer considered a safe cooking material as it dissolves in acid solutions
    also aluminium pans tend towards hotspots - so the ceramic - which is a material easily damaged by thermal shock - is probably not going to last very long
    I have never seen pans like this and so am happy to be contradicted by someone with more experience- they may well have properties which make them really fab....I'd be interested what other people think
