Cost of re-tiling small bathroom floor

Concurrent to my other thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4738037 :) it looks like I am going to have to get my bathroom floor re-tiled sooner rather than later...

Basically the current tiles need to be removed and replaced (one's broken but I have a spare) as much of the grouting's almost gone and a couple of them shift when you step on them, and possibly some additional prep work will be needed according to andyhop (thanks Andy)..

Sounds very much like poor or incorrect prep work prior to tiling

Ensure this time you get shower and bath walls tanked as grout or adhesive is not water proof and will allow water to pass and be absorbed by the substrate

This is the size of the room...

Any clue at all of a ball park figure I'm going to have to budget for? £400? £500? £1000..? We really are that clueless...

We had a similar sized room done for £230 ish with us buying the tiles. Other quotes were £250-£260.

You need to get someone to come and check on site what needs doing.
Its not worth tanking the floor unless the whole suite is removed, inc bath and skirting to seal it properly.
Imo your are looking at the £500 mark.
A thankyou is payment enough .

It would be an excellent idea.

Tiling itself on a stable substrate £200 ish. Fixing whats underneath though (challenging without seeing it). You should see change from £ 500 for that but how much is in the lap of the gods from here.

    Cheers

Who said anything about tanking the floor? Why would you tank a floor unless it was for a wetroom?

    Cheers
