Lidl don't accept money off coupons?

I was in lidls a few weeks ago & as I had a couple of manufactures coupons for Wrights bread mixes.
They refused to accept them & said they didn't accept MOCs only their own.
I've never heard of a shop refusing when you bought the item!

B&M wouldn't accept money off vouchers also, they said it was because they were already a discount store.0
