Vertical blind disaster

Hello All,
Lurked on other parts of the forum but never ventured into OS before, so I'm hoping some kind soul can help me. I've searched for vertical blinds and have picked up some tips on cleaning them - which I will do, but couldn't find much about damaged blinds.
I've had my bedroom window open all morning (rented flat). It's a traditional (read ancient) sliding sash, and it felt a bit stiff when opening this morning. Lo and behold the cord snaps and the window comes thundering shut (it's the large centre section of a traditional bay), right on top of my vertical blinds! The chain is in one piece, but some of the weights have snapped so the chain dangles lifelessly along the bottom.
Can these things be saved? I don't really fancy shelling out for a replpacement blind when the windows have a 9ft drop!
Sorry if this question has a simple answer :embarasse single guy living alone, and nobody to ask!
Thanks in advance,
Regards

You can buy replacement weights and chains for them, have a look online first, I'm guessing eb@y would have them, if not then anywhere that sells the blinds will have the replacement bits.
ETA - a quick search shows both eb@y and @mazon have them plus various other sites.

I have the blinds that have the weights in each one then cords that clip to each one like office blinds, is that what you mean? If so you can get replacements cords and weights and even the top bits that slip in then hang them up. I ordered my replacements from eBay hthHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

Thanks guys - They are indeed "office style" blinds with weights and a little plastic chain clipping together (I hate them, if I'm honest, but GF flat and curtains prohibitively expensive for that kind of length.)
I'll go search eBay for some.
Thanks again!0 -
Get your landlord to replace the sash cord on the window as well. Having been bought up in a house with sash windows it was drummed into us never, never lean out or put an arm out of an open sash window in case the sash cord breaks.0
