I am looking for a one carat diamond solitaire ring, preferably under a grand!
I don't really want to spend that kind of money on something from ebay, does anyone know where I could buy one from?

You will find it hard, were in the process of buying a 1 carat diamond ring and the prices ive been getting quoted are $3750 for an uncertified stone or £5000 for certified stones or if your going to america or know someone who is you can buy a piece of glass from walmart they have one at the moment for $992 but have others just under $2000.The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

thanks gk!
what do you mean 'piece of glass'?0 -
A bit of glass i mean a badly cut diamond that wont sparkle very much and looks dull ie a bit of glass, our inital thoughts was to buy the diamond out of walmart but we looked into diamonds and realised you only get what you pay for. If your looking for a decent diamond have a look on bluenile.co.uk or diamondgeezer.com and see what your money will buy you, both sites uk dealers. A quick look and you could get a 3/4 diamond for about your budget but remember anything over a j will have a yellow tinge and anything below si1 you will be able to see the inclusions/flaws with the naked eye.
Just had a quick thought im sure in some of the jewellers i trailed through on my search you could get a 1 carat princess cut made up of 4 1/4 stones for under £1000. You dont say what you want it for? Engagement, anniversary or just to wear? The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Better to go for a small good quality diamond than a large off-colour one with faults through it!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
