ILN Legal Agents and Process server

This morning my husband has received a letter from the above company based in Romford. The letter is on plain white paper no company letterhead and only a mobile number (which is turned off ) to call. Its asking him to make an appointment so they can serve him with a statutory demand. We've racked our brains and have no idea what its for . We do have a joint debt by this is only chasing my husband. Has anyone dealt with company ?

The International Legal Network (ILN) are a leading UK based detective agency specialising in Process Serving and Tracing.

They're clearly trying to find someone. Whether that someone is the OP would be something else.

And is there any reason why that lender would be trying to find you or take legal action against you?

That's them . The letter is clearly addressed to my husband . I've checked Equifax etc and discovered a mail order debt in his name at our old house which we moved out of 7 years ago but kept it as a rental property . The inception date of the debt is Feb 2007 and it was defaulted in August 2010. I'm now wondering if the tenants have aqquired credit in his name ?
I suppose we will have to wait until Monday morning when he can speak to someone.

Thank you for your replies x
  • Hubby rang ILN yesterday but they refused to tell him anything over the phone . They are sending him a letter now he has confirmed his address . I can't help but find this all very odd .
I will update again when the letter arrives .
