Stair Cleaning Costs

Hi all
My first post!
Firstly I would like to say thanks to everyone on this site, I have saved a great deal over many areas.
I am hoping again for advice regarding stair cleaning services, specifically in a Scottish tenement. I am lead to believe that I am required to pay for this service and I am glad to do so (have been paying it for almost a year now).
But I have just received a new invoice for 20% more than I was paying before. I have emailed the supplier (approx 1 week ago) asking why such an increase and I have not had an answer.
If anyone else I pay for a service gave me a 20% rise without a good explanation, I would ditch without question. This site has taught me well! But stairs are different, everyone needs to be in or it all falls apart.
So I am asking for your advice- do I have to put up with an almighty 20% increase just to keep the peace or am I in my rights to say to the supplier-No that is too much and risk having my neighbours having to absorb my costs? I am more than capable of cleaning and maintaining myself, but realise my neighbours will still be charged.
All advice is welcome but I would be especially glad to hear from tenement dwellers, for instance is it worth the sheer headache of trying to switch stair cleaning companies when faced with such a huge price hike?
Any help is greatly welcomed.

If it was me I'd see if I could just do the cleaning myself. Would you be allowed to do that? What would the implications of that be?October Grocery Challenge: £20.65/£150
September Grocery Challenge: I lost track/£200
August Grocery Challenge: £92.11/£1000
