I am a PWC, currently on CSA2, been told today by an advisor that there is an catalogue of errors on my CSA account - and that a lot has gone wrong, I am aware of 4 issues - but from the sounds of it, theres a lot more. I have been advised to proceed immediately with a written complaint,

Has anyone gone through the complaints procedure and got some answers and the situ sorted? xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I have been through the complaint process and it is hideous!!! They will blame you for everything and take responsibility for nothing, you need a lot of patience!! Three years on, I am waiting to be allocated a caseworker at the Parliamentary Ombudsman, and all that has been achieved in the three years is a catalogue of abuse and a massive waste of public money, because the CSA are not and refuse to be held accountable. Disgraceful!
  • Not sure if it's the same, but my case got sent to the complaints department and I got a named caseworker. I didn't get blamed for anything, the caseworker was very nice and completely 'on the ball', and I got a £250 consolatory payment.

The problem was 90% sorted out, and sent back to the team with just a few strings to tie up. I've had to go back to my MP once since about an issue, but that's been sorted out quite swiftly too.

The timescale from my initial complaint to the case being sent to the complaints team was a few weeks, and then it took about four months to be 'fixed'.
Grateful to finally be debt free!

All I can say to mum2one and nicky 3 is persevere with your complaints. It might take time but don't give up. I am at the draft report stage with the Parliamentary Ombudsman at the moment and have just sent in my comments on the report, albeit not happy ones. I am waiting for the final report now but am not holding out for them finding against the CSA or ICE even though both ICE and PO and the CSA themselves have admitted maladministration and lengthy delays they all seem to accept it is ok, I on the other hand don't. Good luck and keep us posted.
