Newbie . . help re twitter comps please

Hi guys

Have started comping in the last couple of days . . opened new email account & new twitter account but now have a silly question . . if the comp says TW do I simply need to follow or do I need to retweet in order to be entered?

And is that simply it - no entering of details etc?

Thanks, sorry to sound so thick!

The actual comp post will have the details, TW just means it is entry by Twitter (usually follow and retweet)

You need to follow the link and see exactly what it says. Some may be a follow and retweet. Others may want a link to your favourite product from their range, others may want a tiebreaker with a specific hashtag. There is no form, or name and address, unless you win. Good luck.

No such thing as a stupid question - I didn't know how twitter worked until last year and am still learning!;)

Most twitter comps have a requirement to follow & re-tweet - although some ask you to tweet a certain message or include a phrase with a certain hashtag.

If it is a re-tweet comp there is no need to enter your details as they are able to contact you by following you and if you are a winner will probably get a direct message from the company running the competition. (this happened when I won the Wallis comp)

I love twitter comps as they take no time at all hardly to enter:)

    Good luck:)

Thanks guys - as ive set up a new twitter account for the purpose of comping, does it matter that Ive not got any followers i.e. im retweeting (if asked to do so) but no one is actually reading them?!

Some people in this section of forum tell that theirs accounts have been blocked. And again from those threads - try to be more "natural" - get some followers (here there is a thread - to exchange "following"), do not retweet everything in one go , like 100 in 1 min, tweet something of your own from time to time. Again, if you exchange "followings" with fellow compers, you all could tweet about what and how and how often you entered and won/didn't win without annoying each other - you all have the same interest, tweet about it.
