Melon in jelly didn't set

I put some surplus fresh fruit salad in some jelly today, including some melon, and it didn't,t set. Does. Melon have the same characteristics as fresh pineapple in not making gelatine set? (My fruit salad had no pineapple in it)

Melon won't stop jelly from setting; fruits which will include raw pineapple, guava, kiwi. Cooked fruits are all fine.0
