I've just calculated that I have paid Blackhorse approx. £14,958 ... to wards a £16,000 in the last 5 years
yet I still owe them approx. £14,014
the term of the agreement started april 20008 over 10 yrs
You mention a Default earlier on. Why do you think your debt should be reducing if you aren't repaying it as per the agreement?
You took out a 10yr loan in 2008 agreeing to set monthly payments. This was all known at the time. It doesn't matter what the current balance is if you are making payments, all you should be concerned with is the simple fact that it will end after 10yrs as per the agreement.
It is by no means the lenders fault if you have decided that you'd rather not pay them but rather spend you money on your car or childrens education.
Why do you think the bank should lose money so you can lead the lifestyle you prefer?
Unfortunate as it is, nobody cares for your personal circumstance. You took the loan, you agreed the terms, it is now down to you to honour that agreement.0 -
some how I don't think my loan company has lost money the interest is very high
and yes I should be looking at what has been paid or not paid
because as so high and I wasn't aware of this
as so many
others aren't too if they is a better way out
I want to try it
and as to have a car and my education for my children is important #
but so do people who don't work have a car and I can tell you much more than me
so why did I bother
what do you do without ??
I choice to go to work and look after my kids and did a good job of it
how many people can say that single handed never mind with two pairs of hands!!!
yet I have got in a mess financially that s why I came on here for advice not a lecture
maybe I should of sat at home on benefits let me kids do what ever they like, and just not care
maybe I wouldn't be in this position now
better off not working
didn't come on for a lecture don't you think I don't know
if you cant be helpful don't bother0 -
I can't see it but did you contact stepchange ?0

The OP wants to hear that everything will be all right and she doesn't have to pay another penny. Now back from our journey to Utopia things are slightly different in this real world!!0

The rest of your post makes very little sense, unless my PC is playing up.
It's worth saying once more, give Stepchange a ring. You are not going to get out of this mess on your own, you need support to do it.
Call them tomorrow.

Well I am confused ... Are Natalie18 and the OP Pingporp, the same person? because Natalie is talking as if she is the OP. Or has she just hijacked the thread? The OP hasn't even been back; he/she just asked the first question, and then natalie came along. So I'm confused. Who is who?0 -

It's fairly straightforward really, a little known fact is that if you manage to change your username through a thread on mse, then black horse automatically have to write off your entire loan, pay back all your payments and come round to your house and do your cleaning for you
Surprised more people haven't heard of this.0 -

I don't think so just want to see a light at the end of the tunnel... if I did I would of left it all six years ago

Well they did lend you £16,000 and you have repaid £14,958.
