Why...why do they do this to us?!

Has anyone ever had it where a winner is announced in a newsletter and you open said newsletter and the winner has the same first name as you? You read the first name and your heart skips a beat...until you read the last name and it's not you. Booo. :(

I don't have a common first name either!

Please tell me I'm not the only one?!

    Oh, it's so annoying! Would have come in handy for the little one, too!

    aaaww that's a shame, I hate those kind of emails, I had one yesterday that said along the lines of 'regarding the competition to win a.....'

    'you didn't win this time' :mad::mad: ggrrr I'd rather not know if I didn't win, instead of reading the subject line and getting giddy.

    I'm sure they do it for a laugh :mad:
