Nationwide Current Time scales?

Hi, I had an AIP underwritten so all docs have been approved, full application went in yesterday £99 + 400, got my own solicitors ready (didn't use nationwides free option), I haven't heard anything about a valuation being instructed yet. Does anyone know the current turnaround times for countrywide for just a basic valuation? Many thanks in advance

From our full mortage application the HBR was conducted about 2 weeks later. Within a week ourselves and the solicitor had the paperwork from Nationwide.

I think it partly depends on where you are in the country. Many surveyor companies have got lots of properties to survey, with insufficient numbers of surveyors - so there may well be a delay.

Thanks for the replies! We're in NE Lincolnshire, and just found out it is booked in for Tuesday the 13th! It's only a valuation so hoping it won't take long to come back ok!

I submitted an application last Tuesday night, 30th July and it was offered on Tuesday 6th. Valuation was done that day, 6th too.

I advised my client to appoint his own surveyor to do the homebuyer's. That was done Monday.

I had my offer accepted towards the end of June, had the mortgage valuation done 5 days later. I didn't get a survey done (due to the age of the property), but i've exchanged contracts today with a view to complete next Wednesday/Thursday!

I've had it lucky though, buying an empty flat and still living at home, so nothing to sell or give notice on. All in all it looks to be 8 weeks from start to finish, Nationwide have been brilliant from the get go.

Sounds promising then, I've got nowhere to sell and the vendor is moving in with her partner. I've got a separate surveyor too after reading some bad countrywide reviews but he's ready to go anytime too, maybe I might be quicker than I thought :) thanks people! Just feels like nothing's happening all the time doesn't it!
