This will be my final post on these forums, ive been asked to change my username, Its not for that reason i wont be posting, just the fact i feel some people here dont want to hear the reality of the CSA/there circumstances. And would rather try and insult someone becuase of that, i guess that is the difference. Its very easy to see why caseworkers will not reveal there job on social media or forums like this, Im sure the majority would rather read what is written whether or not they agree with it, Yet the minority who hold grudges and be bitter, or just angry people in general have to spoil it for the many.

I tried to help in my posts, tried to explain how things work in both the office itself and the process, I hope if anything else you realise a bit more how things work, if nothing else.

To those who have genuine problems, i still suggest you trust in the agency to do its best where possible, mistakes will always happen but majoritively speaking the process works to some degree.

I do wish anyone with a case the best of luck of finding amicable ground and to get money where it is needed, Afterall, parents may fight over money and acsess, when at the end of all the cases, and court appearences, there are children bearing the brunt of it all.

Some people may question the way i posted, but ask yourself somthing, if i didnt care about making a real difference to familys lives, i would'nt do this job.

i dont think anyone asked or wanted you too leave caseworker, i think it was more, your wording of things, the way you came accross, at deciding who you would work with first so to speak.

As for putting trust in the agency, never, i have never dealt with a more inept organisation in my life, they dont know their left hands from their right hands.

Nobody speaks to each other in there, every phone call, you are quoted the same hymn sheet so to speak,, i have had dealings with them for 13 years,,,, and it has only been with the intervention of my mp every single time, that i have finally come to a satisfactory outcome.

I wish you best in what you do, as, at the end of the day, it is , just a job too you, and i suppose you dont actually think of the consequences this can have on peoples lives.

I really have appreciated your input. Unfortunately some people here are very highly strung and have probably never worked in a job like yours, I have, and what you say is correct, it's what happens in the real world.

Sorry to see one of the good guys leave.

Why would they? We're just numbers within a government organisation. Accept that and move on.
  • I have had people practically shout at me on this Forum, some people unless you walk the same walk as them just don't understand the other side.

The area I do volunteer in would turn your hair grey as they never realise what happens to some people could happen to them. All it takes is a spiteful person and worlds can get turned upside down for the innocent person.

I did have an occasion to deal with the CSA in another country (wicked step mother of three) and we had custody..Biological Mum had failed to inform CSA of this fact, so DH's pay was being docked heavily at source. I rang CSA and had the most surreal conversation. I was told but you are getting the money Mrs S.. could not convince the person on the other end I was the stepmother and we had custody of the children and had this for nearly 12 months and not the original Mrs S. In the end I piled the boys into the car, took my ID, Court papers and the rest and fronted at the CSA Office. What ensued in the following two hours was something like a Laurel and Hardy film. In the end I was told we would have to recover the money from the former Mrs S via Court, but I made sure before leaving the office the payroll deductions from DH's salary was stopped immediately, then I informed my MP. Next month no money taken out of salary. Had the former Mrs S on the doorstep whinging that she was short money. She was quickly shown the front gate and a 'see you in court when we reclaim this mis-appropriated money from the CSA'.

I still wonder what happened with the young man who could not understand the problem?.

People can be strange cattle. both sides of the fence.

Is this thread intended to make us feel sorry for you.

    I dont.

You bad mouth both PWC & NRP's by tarnishing us all with the same brushes in your scenarios / comments.

And the only evidence you had to back up any of your claims was ''Thats just the way it is''

I agree pret, there are ways of saying something, and given there is no body language and voice inflection, then you have to try and be a bit more careful on how you word things. I fail sometimes :o, but do try and explain what I was actually getting at if someone takes it the wrong way. What sounds all right in my head, comes out all to hell on the screen!!!:D
