Bankruptcy and working within the NHS

Hi
I am still here and building up the necessary details and cash to go bankrupt. A new question has arose which I would like some advice on please?
I am in the process of applying for a position within a finance department of a NHS trust, would being / going bankrupt have any bearing on this at all? Also at the moment I am temping within the same NHS trust would the changes in my financial situation have any bearing on my ability to work? I don't mean my physical ability but what is seen on a CRB.
Thanks in advance

Don't worry it'll all work out in the end

Possibly, but you would need to check the Trusts policy on declaring Bankruptcy - ie do you need to tell them and if you dont is it a disciplinary offence.
(I am a Civil Servant and it says in my HR guidance that if I was to become bankrupt OR enter into an IVA that HR MUST be told otherwise it is Serious.Gross Misconduct with all the consequences that come with it).
Hope this helps.0 -

Only the employer can really answer that question. All though I think the fact that it's a position within "a finance department" might matter more than it's a "NHS trust"... I don't mean my physical ability but what is seen on a CRB....
The bankruptcy won't appear on a CRB, it's not a criminal offence. However it will show up in the London Gazette. Granted, few people read the thing, but it does make it a matter of public record.0 -
What did your temporary contract say (if you have one)? I very much doubt it however as never seen that rule but I'm a nurse so a wee bit different. Check the trust's intranet (search 'bankrupt' and should give you a clue or ask permanent colleague for a peruse of their contract.Life could be worse, you could be a nurse0
