I avoid the tiles and the diy. I did the diy one for a while but 3 enquiries and then an unrelated purchase...I may as well have had a flag. Same as toy one for the company who only seem to have one client. They started following me around the store as they knew which aisles I'd go to next. Not comfortable at all, and if you can't even get a tile for a £1 anymore, you have to wonder if it's worth it. On the plus side, you could have a multi-coloured kitchen, you could smash them up and make a mosaic garden-table top, or you could use them in the bottom of plant pots for drainage. Or you could pile them up in the corner of a garage until the cat knocks them over, and you take them to the dump :)

The DIY is right old pain to do. Especially the Kitchen enquiry as they start on the old sales process and can waste a lot of time....

Just received an email for the above visits.

Opened it & see that someone has been paid £28 mileage for 2 separate visits!

    So much for:

We have a very tight budget for this project so the fees will depend on the number of stores you are allocated.

I only do the ones that are local to me or a cluster in an area making it worth your while to make the trip. I think there are 'peeps' who do a lot of work for them and get the higher fees. Maybe one day I might get offered a higher rate job..

This lot went 'off air' for me for a couple of months and can't believe they did not have work going on. I am assuming I am on the 'dregs' list! I am amazed they don't offer mileage as a lot of their work around my way is in the 'sticks' and frankly the pay rate does not cover the mileage..

Last time I did the tile shop visit I could buy a tile for a pound. This time it cost over 2 quid and you have to void the receipt. Only did it as was passing through- not sure I will bother again as they don't cover the fall cost of the reimbursement
There was no tiles in the shop for pound. What to do with a one tile - any suggestions...
I got my tile for free i plan on using it to stand a garden plant on. lol

My son has a pal who used to work for the 'toy company', he confirmed with my son that they can spot the M.Shopper instantly as they are the only ones to ask so many questions!

Every store says that right up until the poor report lands on the managers desk...

There seems to be a lot of PIP travel shops on the board at the moment. My least favourite type of visit, I will wait to see if they start getting desperate, towards the end of the month as not attracted to the current fee given the time investment on those ones...,
