Just been told I have tendonitis in my hand
. The doc said it can be caused by typing a lot. I do use the computer a lot in work but I have a sneaking suspicion it's all the hours spent comping that's done it! My addiction is so bad, I'm still at it!!
Perhaps it's time to train my daughter (even if she is only 8!!)

Sorry to hear that, its actually thanks to my hobby I now have the correct diagnosis for my wrist pain..
I have been off work sick for the last 3 months due to severe pain in both of my wrists, after going to the doctors, they said it was tendonitis (possibly caused through my excessive use of the computer but also could be work related, I work as a health care supporter, so could be through pushing wheelchairs) anyway the pain still hasn't gone after x number of weeks, back to the doctors I go. They said it could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and referred me to a neurologist, after doing all the tests for carpal tunnel, it turns out it wasn't.... still in pain and more tests....long story short, received a letter 2 days ago (when I say letter it was more like a novel,15 pages long!!!) ...it was all the results from my tests, it turns out I actually have Rheumatoid/Inflammatory Arthritis. Yes at first I was shocked to discover this, me being slightly naive and thinking its just the older generation who get it, I'm not even 40 yet!!! .I have an appointment in a few weeks to see the rheumatologist and to decide the next course of action. I'm now trying to stay positive about it,Obviously they can't stop it but can slow down its progression... One good thing it though, gets me out of doing the housework, teehee even it means the o/h having to learn how to do the ironing, lol0
