Mortage Offer letter Delay!!!

Hello guys
I took out a mortage with halifax, everything went smoothly, got the offer letter, then the solicitor done the legal work but however on the completion date the seller changed his mind on selling the property this meant we had to look for a new property and start from stage 1. now for this new property the survey has been done, then one of the halifax team called me an said he needs a up to date payslip so they can process my application an offer me the mortgage offer letter, i have sent that off. Its been 4 days i have not received a mortgage offer letter through the post. My question is do you think that there is something wrong with the application?

It's impossible for us to tell you the reason for the delay but 4 days is not very long, sometimes it can take about 2-3 weeks for a mortgage offer letter to come through. Good luck!

Two days for the payslips to get there, two days for it to be scanned to the case file, another two days for it to be looked at and the case re-offered then upto seven days for the paper copy of the offer to get to you.

These are all working days, of course.

one more thing, can you tell me if they are going to check my credit score again in the process or they have already done it.

Also my broker told me that once a survey has been done it is more than likely that they will offer me the mortgage offer letter, is this true? as i have previously received a mortgage offer letter for a different property.

Ask for the direct fax and don't forget to put your reference, it will go on within 24 hrs
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

It's been 1 week now, so I decided to call up Halifax to find out why it's taking that long, Halifax just told me now that they Will review my case by Monday and will make a decision after 15.00, what does this means, is this normal or there has been a problem with my mortgage application, can somebody please help me as I am feeling very tensed at this moment.
