First Mortgage - AIP ?

Hi.
I was wondering if someone could help me.
It's a bit complicated.

My partner and I are first time buyers and are in the process of looking at mortgages, the problem is, I am on a 0 hour contract (bank) and I have only just started working there so the mortgage will have to be on my partners salary alone as he works full time.

We have asked for help from a mortgage advisor who looks at our information and searches the best mortgage for us. She got back to us yesterday saying we could get a mortgage for around £90,000 and do we want her to do the agreement in principle and we said yes and she said she should get back to us today with the result.

We have been looking at houses around £110,000 as my partner inherited quite a bit of money so has quite a bit of deposit to put down. We have come across a house that we like the look of (we are viewing on Saturday) that is only £105,000.

My question is, can you put in an offer if you have an agreement in principle ? If not what is the next step and roughly how long could it take as we don't want to miss out on this property.

I hope that all made sense.

Thanks for any help !

You can put in an offer without an agreement in principle, although you may not be taken as seriously as someone who has one.

Why not wait for yours? It only takes ten minutes to do.
