No you dont. Although some lenders may want a minimum period with the same employer.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You dont need to be in full time employment for 3 years to get a mortgage. Every lender is different. most of them are happy with 6 months employment while others ask for longer. Also, there are some lenders that offer mortgage based on the actual contract in place without having been in employment or having received your first salary.0
