Electric + Water bills, included in BR? (how about after 1 year)

If you have 2 bills of electric, water, or gas now which you haven't paid off.

and want to declare yourself bankrupt,

then can these bills be included too ?

Who contacts the electricity and water companies?

and 2-6 months after bankrupt, when more bills come, then what happens to paying these? or can the also be included in the bankruptcy? or not as they are after the bankruptcy ?

or you have to pay them yourself and have no choice ?

All debts pre br are included and yes you can include utility debts. After you go br if you then run up debts you have to pay them. I think that is correct.

What about Tv licence? if you know it is due, months before the time of bankruptcy can it just be 'not purchased' until you declare yourself bankrupt, and dont renew it, wait until bankruptcy and place it in the pot of bills which are in debt ?

Well I wouldnt do that as you could end up with them on your doorstep but thats just me. I also dont know if that would work as not paying it you dont run up a debt as such. Hopefully someone will know better than me. Me personally I wouldnt not pay mine much as i hate paying it.

It is against the law to watch TV without a licence so i wouldnt advice it to be honest

Who contacts the electricity and water companies? The OR will contact them on your behalf and I am pretty sure they do this whether or not you owe them money.

and 2-6 months after bankrupt, when more bills come, then what happens to paying these? or can the also be included in the bankruptcy? or not as they are after the bankruptcy ?The whole point of bankruptcy is that it gives you a chance to "wipe the slate clean" this will allow you to have a set budget each month for utilies and you will be given a new account from your utility provider. You may also find that pre-payment meters will be installed. which makes it even easier to budget and you can not get back into the same sticky situation you find yourself in at the moment.

or you have to pay them yourself and have no choice ? if you have used it you have to pay for it as you are no longer in debt once you have gone to court you should have no reason why you can't pay it!
