Phone numbers

Hi,
Was wondering what people do with numbers, do they give house or mobile?
If the option is available i don't give one, if I have to I give the house as no one is home in the day so spam calls wont matter, and they have my email to get me on anyway.
Starting to wonder (ole' paranoid me) if others are being selected because nobody is answering the phone and its going to the answer machine?
thoughts?
J

I give my mobile, simply because I'd rather it ring than my home phone.
Your avatar? I have the t-shirt (well, three actually), love Johnny Cupcakes! :beer:0 -
I put my mobile all the time as I hate spam calls on the landline even more.
I've only ever had 3 WTC and only a few cold calls in over a year - Autosport and some mag (Landscape?) trying to flog a subscription plus a couple I didn't bother answering when busy. It's not been enough hassle to make me buy a second phone.
If a company mentions sending SMS marketing I put a row of 00000 or else I won't bother entering, as I HATE spam sms.0 -
i always put my mobile, and considering how many comps i enter get very few spam calls.0

There's a difference between SPAM and Marketing IMO. if a Company repeatedly calls I just block their number. As long as you're careful with the tick boxes you shouldn't have a problem.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Hi,
Was wondering what people do with numbers, do they give house or mobile?
I was wondering the same thing.
I have just ordered a PAYG sim purely for Compie reasons (Just in case) but have been using my everyday number and am actually suprised by my phone not been bothered once.
My home number (if possible) is never used for competitions but using 000's is a great idea. Thanks. :T
Thanks for your help peeps, you guys are awesome.0 -
I always put my mobile number and I never get any unwanted phone calls, in fact the one big win I did get was notified through a WTC so I don't think there's that much of a problem with it0

I have a contract mobile and I put the number into comps and don't have a problem with lots of calls. I am always careful with the tickboxes, like most people on here.
I've had the odd couple but nothing major and I can block the numbers anyway if they become a nuisance.
The only comps I use my house phone number are the ITV ones, for example 6 entries per phone number, I do 6 for my landline and 6 for my mobile.
Don't really have much of a problem with spam calls to my house phone either, we have caller display, so that's useful.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020
