Removing a charge from a property

Hi,

Just wondering whether anyone has been successful in removing a charge from a property without repaying the debt and if so, under what circumstances?

I'd appreciate any help or advice that could be offered in this instance.

That would require agreement of the creditor whatever the circumstances.

If they have a charge on the property, then they have some 'security' against the debt. They are not likely to release that charge if your not going to pay it off.

You can however come to some agreement if you are willing to pay it, whether that is the complete amount or x% now and y% later.
