Free shower Timer from B & Q Superstore

I saw them in the Plymouth store yesterday so I assume other stores are doing them.

They are basically egg timers on a tile sucker. The idea is to save water by restricting your showering time.

  • Saw these in Australia. They're having big drought there some areas haven't seen good rain in over a year. I was surprised at the fact you COULD have your shower in 4 minutes. In fact I actually saw plenty of sand left each time I used it. They're a great idea!

Royal Navy Submariners are trained to use no more than 1 Minute of water for a shower.

30 secs to get wet, turn off the shower and soap up, than 30 secs to rinse off.

and only 1 shower every 24 Hrs

Now that is the way to save water :T :A

    But also try:

Don't flush the loo unless its a No 2

and turn the tap off when your brushing your teeth :j

    Every little helps

Thanks I've just ordered from United Utilities (0845 303 7711) automated leaflet line. Choose the first group 'saving water' then after choosing the water savers pack you say your postcode, first line of address, surname and title. 5 days for delivery...
