raising a grievance whilst off work with stress

Hi

I need some advice. my manager is trying to get rid of me and is trying to force me to give 2 months notice and go. as it will end that way. and saying why haven't i come back off holiday with your resignation.

I feel that they are trying to push me out. im off sick with stress because i can't cope with how they are trying to get rid of me and making me feel not wanted. Im very intimated and down because of this.

I don't want to return to work until this is sorted.

question is. what do i say in my grievance about not returning to work untill it is sorted?

Say nothing, that's what your sick note is for, you do have a sick note don't you? How long have you worked there? how long have you been off sick?
    Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.
  • The problem being. Is that its a small store so can't not say anything.

I have a sick note and have been signed off for a week. I do not feel like I can work with my boss (who is directly above myself). They have made it clear they don't want me there and will do anything to get rid of me. Why don't I just give in 2 months notice bla bla bla.

I have been off sick since friday

What have they done to try to get rid of you? Do you have evidence of/ witnesses to the manager doing this?

How long have you worked there?

Have you discussed this with your union rep?
  • Sorry ! I thought I put this in the thread,

They have put me on a PIP and have told me do I really want to go through this because we both know how it will end, and I am scared as going through the disciplinary process wont be easy and will be harder to get a job. If I was them, then I should give 2 months notice as that's how it is going to end.

I feel more pressured with threats of its going to end badly than the whole process.

school error I am not apart of the union :(

    Is the PIP justified?

For the third time - how long have you worked there?

Ask your rep if they will assist you if you join now. It's unusual but not unheard of for up a union to represent on a pre existing case. Though you probably won't be entitled to solicitors, tribunal fees etc if it comes to that.

Don't be pressured into giving notice, it's easier to argue unfair dismissal than constructive dismissal.

That's true - but not if OP does not have the minimum length of service to go to an ET in the first place.

That is why everyone is asking OP when she starting working there..... ?

Did you start after April 2012?

If so you have few rights, the employer can easily dismiss you within the first two years of employment.

    Is the PIP justified?

(It really does help if you answer the questions asked.)
