Why are you going from JSA to income support? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Are you actually receiving CA yet, or have you just put in an application and are waiting to hear back?
Once you are in receipt of CA, you can apply for IS and there is no obligation to go on the Work programme or do any of the other things required for JSA, as you are already filling a minimum of 35 hours a week as a carer.
It may be worth asking at the Job Centre if you need to go on the WP, as you are a carer. If you are already in receipt of CA, I don't think you would need to attend (I'm not even sure if you can receive JSA if you already get CA, as you may not be able to fulfill both your caring duties and your commitment to seeking work). You should make an appointment at the JC. If the advisor is unable to help, ask to speak to a supervisor.0 -
You wont be expected to go on the work programme if your getting carers allowance and income support.I know this for a fact.0
