Recycle old cd-r & old cd cases.

Does anyone know if there is anywhere to put old cd-rs & old plastic cd cases?

Don't just want to put them in the regular rubbish bin if there is somewhere to recycle them.

How many coasters and bird scarers can one person use ?
At least with LPs you could make a bowl.

I don't want to create anything with them, just wondered if there was recycling facilties as opposed just putting them all in the bin. Obviously if local councils don't have facilities, then they will all just have to be binned.

Looks like there are a couple of places that will recycle them, but I guess councils don't have the facilities themselves:

My council website implies that the plastics recycling can take them.
They are certainly a plastic container.

I suppose the plastic cases could be put in the recycle bin. It's the used cd-rs that are the problem.

I recently put over 200 cassette cases in our recycling bin. As our council takes all plastic containers, I didn't think it would be a problem. They had belonged to my late father and my mum had given them to me to sort out. Within a few days of receipt I spotted a request for old cassettes on a facebook group. An art teacher wanted them for a student using them in their GCSE art coursework 'old and new'. I was really pleased as I didn't want to bin them, but there is not really any other use for them.
