Door dipping Belfast

Does anyone know of any companies who dip internal doors in the Belfast area? Preferably ones who collect and bring back the doors after they've been dipped :)

Thanks,

D xx

there used to be a place called bare wood near castlecourt but don't know if they collect and deliver or if they are even still there. a friend bought several pre dipped doors and was very pleased with them but it was a vew years ago now.

    They are still there.
  • They are. I had some done a year ago. The Process does have some drawbacks though in that the doors swell and can distort a bit when drying out again as they are literally soaked in the chemical overnight. Also if you have any stained glass in the door it'll wreck the leading. I didn't mind as our house is quite old so a few "wonky" doors were not out of character.

Just wanted to come back and update - we used Bare Wood Ltd and I'm really pleased with how well the doors have come up  They also sell original doors that have been stripped so we were able to buy one to match the others for our bathroom as this door had been replaced with a more modern (but very ugly!) one.

They do collect but seeing as we live in Belfast it would have been quite expensive - my DH was able to fit them in the back of our car with the seats down so that saved a few quid!

    Many thanks :)

Yes, still exists but don't know how cost effective or practical it would be to do kitchen cabinet doors !!
