Hi I hope someone can advise. I have just checked my credit file and have found that Arrrow Global, who I have never heard of, defaulted me in 2011 at an adress I left in 2006, for a loan which was was taken out in 2006, which I am not aware off. I have moved around since then abroad and in Uk and have never received any letters informing me of this. I know that there is a statutory time of 6 years, if a loan has not been paid, so my question is can they do this. I have never spoken or had any communication with them and am scared to try and contact them, in case they start to hound and harrass me. Where do I go from here.

Arrow make a habit of this. They add an incorrect falsely dated default when they buy the debt.
At other times they mistrace someone else's debt from a similar name and match it to your old address. Or perhaps buy a debt that is a result of ID fraud by someone who then lived at your former address after you.
If there was any default, ever, that was yours, then it should have been within 6 months of the debt being due but not paid.
If you want to sort out the default then you will probably have to contact them. You could dispute the default via the credit reference agency, but Arrow usually just tell them that they are correct with the date and you are wrong, and so the CRA refuses to remove it.
Once you are sure that this debt, if it even exists and is yours, is statute barred, or not yours, then you need to dispute it with Arrow and demand that it is removed.
They will likely refuse, so you will probably then have to take the matter to the ICO and perhaps FOS.
