Recommended Tattooists in Belfast

Hi

Does anyone have any personal recommendations of Tattooists in Belfast?

Also just how safe (Hep. B etc) is getting a Tattoo?

Cheers

I can recommend Tommy Gunn at Belfast City Skinworks. I've never had any problems with any of my tattoos.

    You can find them here:
    Belfast City Skin Works
33a, Queen St, Belfast, County Antrim BT1 6EA
    Tel: 028 9032 9146

Why not ring them for a chat? If you do decided to go for it, you will need to book in advance to get any work done.

as long as they are health authority registered u shud b ok, they usually take clean needles out of sterile packaging in front of you and bend them afterwards infront of you. Mines does anyway, but i go to the one on the Isle of man... no probs here....

theyre addictive tho once you start ;-)

if you wanted to travel a little further Sailor Bill's in Coleraine is excellent. He's won awards and is very popular in the north west

Definitley Belfast City Skinworks. Tommy Gunn did all mine bar one (that Skull did but I heard he's only doing private work these days?). My friend recently had an amazing back piece done there too (by Jinx I think) and it really is a stunning piece of work.

I've recently had a piece done (In the last year)by ink castle, tattoo pert. Top class job. I've also this past week had another piece done by icy hot tattoo in Ballymena. Super impressed with the work. I do have to get a touch up done but thats only because it's a fine line round my wrist which I was warned would probably need done, due to putting hand in pockets etc and catching the scab. My brother also in the past month had a piece done by sailor bill in coleraine and it's first class as well.

You could try www.skindeep.co.uk or emailing Neil (he's the editor of Skin Deep), which is the Uk's number 1 tattoo magazine. We work together ( I work on a Biker mag). He's a lovely guy and am sure would be really helpful

    editor@skindeep.co.uk

if you don't get a reply then try Alex....also a nice bloke who should help....

    alexguest@skindeep.co.uk

Tell them that Louise from 100% Biker Magazine said you should get in touch.

    Hope this helps :j
