After my journey, I had a big snooze. Can't do lots of driving as part of my day any more. I used to drive 30 miles to work, work 8-6pm, then drive 350 miles away for the weekend..... couldn't do that any more!

Frequent heavy showers here which isn't suiting my sorting garage and garden for winter (last winter the car and junk all fitted in the garage so it shouldn't be impossible to achieve it again this year. Also mitigating against doing a lot is how much my back is hurting, sitting in the chair sort of helps but I know I will pay for it when I try to stand up.

That's strange, it's been dry here. I must live on the sunny sunny side of the (Hertfordshire) street.

  • Hello all nice people - we are back safely and sound. I'll have to catch up later, as I need to cook some dinner, and wash all our clothes, without spreading the tonne of sand we brought back with us too far round the flat.

We had a gorgeous, lovely time, the weather was fantastic, we did lots of body-boarding, surfing, cave-exploring etc, and we're all sun-kissed, happy and tired!

We also met up with PN on what was supposed to be our first day there, but thanks to a double-booking, turned out to be the day-before-our-first day there...... It was lovely to meet her!

We have had a coue times at the Wreckstoration occasions where it has rained or hailed in the front but not at the back. More often we see rain fall on the big hill but not here.

Regarding weird questions at interviews, I'd recommend this book by an author , William Poundstone, who really impressed me with another book years ago.

I was 17 miles away - weather was quite cool/wet/overcast most of the week; funny how different it can be on a peninsula.

I should have turned up at 6am every morning and sat on your wall waiting for breakfast to be served :)

It was fab meeting you! When you first spoke to me, asking "are you looking for somebody?" I thought you were Beach Police, seeking out and despatching undesirables :)

Well, that is an odd coincidence. This is happening right now. Going to see If I can see place where it happens.....hang on........

Edit...for GDb, hope this shows ok, we get them often, can't get the whole thing in or the second one stronger without some house frontage but a double rainbow for you Sir.

And the rain seems to sort of drop half way across the front/side garden Only way to depict is on the ground on a bit of old Tarmac patH...NOT BRILLiantly clear, but some is darker that rest where its wetter.....its not a total abrupt stop but still quite a significant difference, from inside rain decent at the back and not existant at the front , so filters through the side and just the odd stray drops at the front in reality.

So odd that should happen when we talk about it today.
