first time buyer questions

right this is the situation ive viewed an house had an offer accepted i spoke to natwesy about having a mortagage yesterday and they say yes shouldnt be a problem .......i recieved the information pack today from them (which is great servicee as i only spoke to them yesterday) and they say when ive returned everything to them they will release the funds?is this true and how it works? also do i then contact a solicitor to get the ball rolling??

Oh boy...

You need a solicitor well before that point. It also isn't as simple as 'you apply and they send you money'. Get a solicitor quickly then they can walk you through it.

What information do they want you to send? You might not NEED a solicitor to send the pack back but why not instruct one now? It won't cost any extra.

my bank details and my last 3 months wageslips,,,last 3 bank statements and driving licence id

Your solicitor will need to get started on searches, which can take time. Getting a mortgage isn't the only part. Out of interest, did you do any research on this process before making an offer?
