Company ripping me off?

Hi all,

I have just checked my bank statement and i am baffled.

In January i took out a direct debit with a storage company, the "agreement" on paper states £75 for "monthly storage costs" but upon checking my statement I can see I have been charged as normal for Jan Feb March (£75 on the same day each month) then in April £75, but 2 days later than usual.

Then things get confusing, there is no charge in May at all, but at the beginning of June i am charged £87 (no one told me it was increasing?!), and then again in the end of June (nearer to the normal date of the old charges, another £75.)
Fast forward to today and i can see 2 further charges, 31st July £75, but then 1st Aug another £87.

Id like to know if the company can just take what they want even though we have a "Self Storage Agreement" document stating the monthly cost is £75, and what rights I have to go about reclaiming the money taken. I have called them and they said the "system is down" and can i fax it over Monday.. (Hmm!!;))

Any advice?

Thanks all

Why dont you wait to see what the company says before doing anything?

Yes should have made it clearer, I called them up explaining but they just fobbed me off with "the system is down" and they will look into it Monday. Just wanted to know my rights before I go in there in person. :o
