    I think I've seem something like that in Farmfoods.

    Yeah I think it just because they were precooked chilled that made them not taste nice. The freshly cooked still warm ones were.

    Every independent butcher in Scotland has their version of a steak pie. And they are all different!

    It's easy to make your own with stewing steak and "links" (beef sausages) and it wil be far superior to any you can buy from a butchers. PM me if you want a recipe.

    A Scotch pie is not the same thing as a steak pie though! :p

    I've never had a steak pie with sausage meat in it. Stewing steak only round here. Well, you can add other stuff but that makes it steak and xx pie :rotfl:

    Must be a local thing then. You generally get the same number as the servings so everyone gets a link.

    Perfectly clear if one had read all the posts in consecutive order, I would say.

    Yes, you are quite right I was talking about steak pies available in Scotland as per the OP's request and not "Scotch pies".
