Supplements for period problems

Hi
Can anybody recommend any supplements for period pain and tiredness at that time of the month? I have both pretty badly. I'm taking Magnesium OK at the moment. I've heard of Black Cohosh, but know nothing about it. I've tried EPO and Starflower Oil in the past and neither made much difference. Any ideas appreciated!
Thanks
Gwenx

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

Evening primrose oil capsules may help. If your problems get worse see your GP, you may need something a bit stronger0

Agnus castus would be the next step, it takes 6 weeks to work but it is very good.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

Hi
I tried EPO, they didn't make much difference, but I might give them another go. I'm already on something stronger - mefanamic acid! It still doesn't always sort out the pain. I've had two laparoscopies in the last year - the first they found endo, the second they removed it. However my consultant suspects I also have adenomyosis, which he can't remove without giving me a hysterectomy, so I'm trying anything I can to improve things.

Agnus castus - I knew there was another one I'd heard of, thanks. You say, it's meant to be good?
Thanks

Gwen80, I had a hysterectomy after suffering from endometriosis for years. It was the best thing I ever did. Operation is a last resort though.0

Honestly I would book myself in tomorrow (and almost have many months), but I'm 32 and if by some miracle I meet an amazing guy, I may want kids...Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

I know this doesn't work for everyone but it worked for me.
I can't take the pill due to a history of migraines and ended up with a chronic low level dull headache and lazy arm! Didn't last more than three weeks!
Had all the tests for my periods - had primary dysmennorhoea - ie nothing was causing the severe pain, tiredness, sickness etc
Implant to me has been a godsend - no periods and worry for 10 years! I will take any side effects of long term use for gaining these years!:j I feel I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe :j0 -
I've just been to the GP for similar complaint, still having tests but GP told me in the meantime to take ibuprophen, for the pain and according to her it also stops the period being so heavy - I had no idea. If you are tired could your iron levels also be low? It's one of the tests my GP prescribedNo buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0
