who does she have her broadband with?

as the the new wireless bit of kit, will depend on connections.

am i right in thinking she has a desktop pc and a laptop?

does her laptop have a wireless card already installed?

    erm...... ??? :-[

yes she has a pc (with broadband connection) and a laptop. She used to plug the laptop in via the phone line before she got broadband but now has been told to buy a bluetooth connector for her laptop. :-/

I don't know about the wireless card thing though. She just bought a bog standard laptop so unless they come with one of those then the answer is probably no. ???

she will probably requrie a hub - the best ones i have found are made by NETGEAR mdoel type -802.11b

i only know cos my brother has just done the same thing.

best thing ot do is make a note of what pc world are recommending, then shop around.

my brother was told £95, but the same model on amazon was £50.......
