hi
wondering if anyone can help me plz, my husband had a mortgage, the house was repossessed in feb, and he has a shortfall on the mortgage, he has loans/credit card debts all in his name, nothing in mine not even the mortgage. he was in a n IVA for 2 yrs which failed due to him being made redundant. We split up, all be it briefly, and I got private rented accommodation in my name, the tenancy agreement is solely in my name too. If his creditors find out where he is now can they enter the house to sieze goods?

Not without a court order and bailiffs, and only then if they have previously gained peaceful entry to the property. You do not have let bailiffs in if you don't want to.
It is so incredibly unlikely to even crop up that I wouldn't worry about it. Honestly.Still rolling rolling rolling......<

not sure about unlikely as its quite a lot of money he owes, wouldn't let them in if they came but just wanted to know about the legality of it if the tenancy agreement is in my name that's all, but thank you.
avoided filling in electoral role for the time being!0 -
Ultimately, if (and it's a big IF) they gain access, then they can take goods, but not any belonging solely to you.
There's also a range of items (basic necessities of life), which they can't take.0 -
If all the debts are in his name (nothing joint), then he should look at bankruptcy. This would stop the lenders chasing him from getting CCJs, etc and involving bailiffs.0
