Argos clearance now available again

Just to let everyone know that you can search for clearance bargains at your local Argos stores again - as the new catalogues are just out, this may be a good time to grab a bargain!

Note to board guides: I posted about this on the 28th July but the thread seems to have disappeared? Can someone please explain if I did anything wrong?

I'm not impressed that you've been given no credit for this in the weekly email. I'm pretty sure it wasn't on the site before your first post :T

Thanks for your comment but to be fair I did receive credit and a mention in the weekly email back in 2009 when I first discovered it:

Luckily other people have also mentioned it since then but as I can no longer add to my original thread (it is now closed), I decided to start a new one. I just couldn't understand why it was removed?

With the 3 for 2 on ALL toys until Tuesday, it might be worth seeing if this works on clearance items too.

In theory it should work as it says:

3 for 2 on all toys.

"Cheapest toy free. Offer available in store only. Subject to availabilty. Offer ends 6th August 2013.

Check and reserve now. Savings calculated at the till in-store".

Can someone please post if this works

Yes I bought a 3 piece hand tool (Qualcast) set for the garden, hand trowel, hand fork and cultivator for £8.99 so about £3 each. They were previously £12 so it was still a reduction on their normal prices.

I checked the same tools in homebase and some of them were £7.95 so I really felt I had a bargain. So yes there are definitely bargains to be had. Excellent tools as well so I have been using them in the garden.

Bumping this as it might be a good time to check out your local shops for clearance as probably time for new prices/stock shortly. (Not sure if they are still doing catalogues this year as they are moving more to online)
