Hi Bobq, I thought of doing just that and explain I am new to the area, no one showed me where to do it (landlord lives abroad and I only seen previous tenants on my viewing day) but I've gone with a logic on where it do it and never had an issue. i live in Angel, London where the famous chapel market is and the container is right behind a big sainsbury parking. I genuinely think that if that officer was there at the time (was empty at my doorstep at the time as it was 1pm on weekday) he would have approached me. My stupidity was that I haven't shred the letter (silly advertisement letter not an actual bill) so I think that was the only way for him to see my details. I live in a flat so he couldn't possibly tell my actual address. From the images I can only see this bloody bin bag and copy of my letter but thats about it.
I would write to then and ask them to send someone out to explain the process. If you have a communal bin and the issue is that it was full then you could take the line that they have not provided adequate communal bins or that the neighbours are using the space in the bins.
If the process is unclear you could ask them politely and if they do not help make a complaint to your Council, write to your councillor etcFew people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0
