Daily Mail Book Coupon Not Scanning?

Just had a Mail £4 book coupon refused by the till, sa scanned but it would not accept it. He had previously scanned two other coupons and then had tried to manually enter the £2.70 magazine one which also would not go through.

Has anyone else had this happen today? I am hoping it is a one off but don't want to buy more Mails tomorrow if it is in there again and Mr T has blocked it.

Just got back from Tesco's and mine scanned fine, I did use self scanners though.

I tried using the Harpers £2.70 today and even when the SA tried manually entering it, it would not work. I assumed they'd just keyed it in incorrectly but perhaps not?

Seems like the Harpers one may be blocked, my sa typed it in twice and it was rejected, I assumed like you that he had done it wrong.

Hopefully the book coupons are ok, anyone else used on today?

Book coupon scanned fine today.

If it's the Harpers one from last week, the barcode is fuzzy & needs to be entered manually ......that worked for me, but that was last week.

Mail £4 scanned fine for me today, SA scanned it, it was my last one , ready for a new collection of them now, roll on tomorrow .

I used one today. SA had to put it through manually, cos' of fuzzy barcode. She wouldn't take my book token though, so might have to revert to SS tills to get rid of this one!

I was refused yesterday and I was actually purchasing the book - SA said Tesco do not take book coupons. This is not the first time I have had SA say no - but it is the first time when I was buying the book.

I will stick to grocery moc's in future.

i used 2 ok today in tesco's.. of to get tommorows lot :-)
